Sky Bet

Sky Bet needed a solution that would deliver real-time updates over the Web, as they happen, to large numbers of customers. It evaluated a number of vendor solutions including those that used polling techniques and others that had issues around scalability and manageability. After a comprehensive ‘proof-of-concept’, Sky Bet selected Kaazing based on its low latency, stateless architecture, wide browser support and its ability to expose a full duplex AMQP client over a variety of transports.

“At the start of the project, we planned to use Kaazing in updating real-time prices as that’s a fast growing area for us. After Kaazing exceeded our expectations in handling betting traffic at national sporting events, we are now looking at leveraging this solution in other parts of the business such as Sky Poker” - Andy Burton, Technology Director, Sky Bet.
